I am a tropical palaeoecologist, specialized in pollen, diatoms, non-pollen palynomorph (NPP), and charcoal (both its physical and chemical properties) analysis. My major research interests center around the field of historical ecology and biogeography. I investigate species-environment relationships and the impacts, timing and spatial scale of past human activity and climate change on terrestrial and freshwater South Amercian tropical systems.
