Harry undertook his undergraduate degree under the supervision of Prof. Ross W. Boyle (University of Hull, UK), and after this undertook a Ph.D. funded by Horizon2020 through the MSCA-ITN POLYTHEA, under the supervision of Prof. Mathias O. Senge (Trinity College Dublin, IE), and Dr. Lígia C. Gomes-da-Silva (Universidade de Coimbra, PT), with his thesis focussing on the generation of oxidation resistant hydroporphyrins for photodynamic therapy of cancer. After this, Harry undertook a Post-Doctoral position under the supervision of Prof. Carl Redshaw (University of Hull, UK) utilizing water-soluble calixarenes as scaffolds for multimodal theragnostic treatments for cancer, along with generation novel functionalziation methodology for application to heteroatomic analogues of calixarenes.
Harry is now a Research Fellow in the group of Prof. Richard J. Whitby (University of Southampton, UK) where he collaborates extensively with the group Prof. Malcolm H. Levitt on the generation and analysis of a wide variety of endohedral fullerenes and fullerides.
