About the Clinical Informatics Research Unit
Clinical Informatics Research Unit (CIRU)'s core aims are to:
- undertake applied research in software development, data modelling and definitions, and develop terminology and standards.
- provide software and services to those engaged in clinical research to both improve quality and effectiveness, and drive new research questions within research data management.
- deliver healthcare innovation through informatics solutions.
Meeting the team at CIRU was invaluable. It gave me the opportunity to present a common clinical problem to a non-clinical team. Several meetings, emails and coffees later the ‘STAG’ concept was born.
