Centre for Clinical and Community Applications of Health Psychology

Two people sitting down, facing away from us. One is leaning into the other.

We promote the application of psychology to improve health and wellbeing, and to alleviate or prevent health problems, in clinical and non-clinical populations.

Part of Psychology

We are experts in sexual health, pain, placebo and contextual healthcare components, the use of complementary therapy, behavioural management of infection, and chronic conditions. We have a strong reputation for the development and evaluation of digital health-related behaviour change interventions for promoting health and managing illness. We work with researchers worldwide across disciplines including medicine, public health, computer science, sociology and health sciences.

It is a privilege to lead a diverse and talented group of senior investigators and early careers researchers conducting cutting edge research that has real world impact and advances the science of psychology.
