Research project

Evaluation of Every Woman Promise

Project overview

The evaluation of The Eve Appeal's 'Every Woman Promise' project aimed to educate women in workplaces, particularly SMEs, about female cancers, encouraging open discussion and reducing stigma. Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, the project delivered health sessions to over 4,000 individuals, working with 65 SMEs and developing supportive resources. Evaluation revealed low baseline awareness of gynaecological health, but post-workshop feedback showed significant improvements in knowledge, confidence, and support for women. The project also highlighted challenges in engaging SMEs consistently. Key learnings include the importance of pre-project publicity, involving business development experts, collaborating with business networks, and considering project duration for sustained impact. Overall, the initiative contributed to increased awareness and support for women's health in the workplace, fostering a more open environment and encouraging proactive health actions among employees.
