Project overview
Phase 1: Music for Cohabiters (2020-2021) composition project. The output is the specific approach to composition that was developed, alongside the 52 compositions that have been created. Scores for these compositions have been published on a designated website, along with 27 videos of performances of the compositions.
Phase 2: CoMA Bespoke (2024). Project with three ensembles from third sector organisation Contemporary Music for All (CoMA), scaling up the project. This phase saw the first step towards codifying the approach with the creation of a booklet of compositional prompts. 16 new compositions were created, 3 by mentors and 13 by members of the amateur ensembles. These works were performed at a culminating event in London in June 2025 by CoMA East Midlands, CoMA Sussex and CoMA London.
