Research project

Menstrual Health at Work

Project overview

Evaluation of the DHSC funded Endometriosis UK programme to support menstrual health awareness in UK workplaces. The initiative aimed to educate employers and employees about conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, and fibroids through webinars, events, and resources, to support the fostering of inclusive environments. The evaluation shows high engagement, especially online, with positive feedback and increased knowledge of the main menstrual health conditions. Challenges include delays in material production and engaging SMEs. The programme's success underscores the need for ongoing support, with future plans to expand outreach, develop adaptable policies, and establish menstrual health champions in workplaces to further empower affected individuals.
