Project overview
The Smart Meter Research Portal (Smart Energy Research Lab - SERL) is a 5 year project to recruit a sample of 10,000+ GB households and collect their smart meter electricity and gas data. This data is linked to a household survey, EPC data (if available) and local weather data.
The data can be used via a secure cloud-based data analystic infrastructure hosted by the UK Data Service and forms a unique research infrastructure.
Our work on the project includes design of the recruitment and survey methods and the analysis of habitual energy consumption.
