About the Environmental Processes Laboratory

A range of specialist equipment to study topics in geomorphology and environmental change. 

 

During your laboratory practical sessions, you'll get hands-on experience with soil or water samples and physical experimentation to investigate hydrological or aeolian processes. 

The specialist equipment includes techniques to examine:

  • soil and water nutrient testing
  • particle size analysis
  • quantification organic matter
  • x-ray fluorescence
  • magnetic susceptibility
     

In your final year, you'll use this facility for your dissertation project work.
