International Travel Grant
We are introducing a £1,000 International Travel Grant for students from mainland China, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan.
This funding is designed to support your travel costs when you move to the UK to begin your studies.
You do not need to apply for this travel grant. If you are eligible we will award you this travel grant and let you know by email.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this travel grant, you must:
- be an international student from mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, or Taiwan
- pay the overseas tuition fee
- be enrolled as a new student for 2026 entry as your first year of study
- have arrived in the UK to commence an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught programme
This grant is not available for Exchange and Study Abroad programs.
Conditions of getting the International Travel Grant
The £1,000 is available as a tuition fee reduction on the first year of study.
The International Travel Grant will be applied on top of any other Southampton award you receive as long as the combined value of the awards does not equal more than 100% of your tuition fees.
How to apply
You do not need to apply for this grant but you must have already arrived in the UK and enrolled in your programme for your first year of study (2026 entry).
