The Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Culture at Southampton offers a taught Masters in Medieval and Renaissance Culture. Taught by specialists from across our interdisciplinary centre, the MA MRC offers graduates from any Arts and Humanities background to a unique opportunity to study the history, literature, material culture, and music of the medieval and Early Modern periods. Admission criteria


Prospective entrants to the MA programme should normally have a good 2.1 degree in a humanities discipline and an interest in exploring the history, ideas and culture of the medieval and Renaissance periods.

Visit Day


Prospective students are welcome to visit the Centre to find out more about what we do and studying here. We recommend that you attend the forthcoming Postgraduate Open Day on the 22nd November 2017 where the CMRC Director Professor Peter Clarke will be available to discuss this programme.
