Evidence Informed Practice
This module focuses on how to improve online learning. This will be through making a recommendation for change based on your review of literature together with a proposal for a planned intervention and evaluation plan. The module will cover the design, collection, and analysis of evaluation data and how to make sense of educational data including educational research. You will learn how to evaluate and apply the outcomes of your evaluation of data, policy, and research to your own practice. The focus of the model will be on how you can utilise evidence, your own data, and the findings from others to make recommendations aimed at improving educational practice. The tasks will be synoptic and provide you to evaluate the key elements of online teaching from the identification of the requirements and needs of the students through to planning and production and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment. -

Evidence Synthesis
Evidence synthesis practices are a cornerstone of modern scientific research, enabling researchers to quantify, with great precision, different aspects of large volumes of experimental and other work. This module will equip you with the skills and understanding to conduct these evidence synthesis methods yourself. -

Evidence-Based Exercise Prescription and Intervention Design
This module provides an in-depth exploration of the principles and practices of exercise prescription within clinical populations, grounded in the latest scientific evidence. You will critically evaluate national and international guidelines (e.g., ACSM, NICE) and apply condition-specific recommendations to the design of safe, effective, and individualised exercise programs.
Emphasising a lifespan approach, the module covers a diverse range of clinical conditions including cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine, neurological, musculoskeletal, oncological, and psychological health. You will develop an advanced understanding of the acute and chronic physiological responses to exercise, and how these are influenced by disease processes, medications, surgeries, and other treatments.
Learning activities will blend theoretical lectures with interactive case-based seminars to foster clinical reasoning, risk management, and evidence translation skills. Emphasis will be placed on integrating biopsychosocial and cultural considerations, assessing physical activity readiness and motivation, and employing behavioural strategies to enhance adherence and support long-term behaviour change.
By the end of the module, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to design, justify, and adapt exercise interventions that are scientifically grounded, person-centred, and responsive to the complexity of clinical care. -

Evidenced Based Low Intensity CBT Treatment for Common Mental Health Disorders
PWPs aid clinical improvement through the provision of information and support for evidence-based low-intensity psychological treatments and regularly used pharmacological treatments of common mental health problems. Low-intensity psychological treatments place a greater emphasis on patient self-management and are designed to be less burdensome to people undertaking them than traditional psychological treatments. -
