Megan Bonner-Janes is a lecturer of Child and Psychosocial Health, within Health Sciences, University of Southampton. Megan is the Programme Lead for the BN Top-Up for Advanced Diplomates. Her professional background as a Children and Family Social Worker provides a unique perspective to health and well-being within the school, with particular focus on the social determinants of health. Other areas of expertise include Safeguarding, the Health of Looked After Children and Clinical Supervision.

As a Child and Family Social Worker, I am focused on improving the outcomes of some of the most disadvantaged children in our society.

In Health Sciences, Megan continues this work as a lecturer of Child and Psychosocial Health, by teaching future Health and Social Care professionals about holistic practice, inclusivity, and partnership working for safeguarding. She has a particular interest in improving the outcomes for children accommodated by the local authority, and safeguarding against sexual exploitation.

Programme Lead for BN Top-Up for Advanced Diplomates.

Teaching across several programmes (post and pre-reg) to a variety of health and social care professionals.
