Visits & Open Days

Attending a University Open Day is a great opportunity to see the campus and find out what it’s really like to live and study here. You'll be able to see our state-of-the-art student facilities and learn more about the subject area you're interested in.

Our next University Open Days

Can't make an Open Day? There are other ways to visit, for example by attending a campus tour or using our Virtual Open Day.

UCAS days for applicants

For applicants who are likely to receive an offer from us, open afternoons are held throughout the year on Wednesdays between the start of November and the beginning of March, and we encourage you to visit the University on these afternoons for

· a tour of the campus with one of our present students

· an informal discussion with a member of staff

· a visit to a hall of residence

· a short mathematical talk

· an opportunity to ask any questions

Parents are also welcome to visit us and a separate programme has been developed for them.

The informal discussion is not an interview as, although you may be seen individually, the offer we give you will not depend upon this, except in special circumstances, where it might be changed to your advantage.

Independent visits

If you cannot manage any of the University open days you are welcome to come along on an independent visit. Contact us in advance we shall be pleased to arrange for you to talk to a member of staff.
