Visits & Open Days

Attending a University Open Day is a great opportunity to see the campus and find out what it’s really like to live and study here. You'll be able to see our state-of-the-art student facilities and learn more about the subject area you're interested in.

Can't make an Open Day? There are other ways to visit, for example by attending a campus tour or using our Virtual Open Day.

Applicant Visit Days

When you apply to Southampton we will invite you to one of our Music visit days. This may be before or after we make you an offer through UCAS, depending on the degree programme you have applied for. We will send you more information after we receive your application.

Typically, students are given an introductory lecture, have the opportunity to ask questions about the course, tour our facilities, meet staff and current students, and attend a lunchtime concert and performance workshop. Our pre-offer and scholarship interview-auditions also take place on these days. These sessions can take place remotely if you are unable, for whatever reason, to come to our campus.

If you are unable to attend any University or Music open days but would still like to visit Southampton, please contact Undergraduate Admissions Enquiries.

Why come to an Applicant Visit Day?

You may have already visited us at one of our Open Days and perhaps wondering whether you should still attend. Applicant Visit Days are a great opportunity for applicants to see the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in more detail, and get a real feel for student life.
