  • Understanding the chemical speciation and fate of trace elements in the marine environment
  • Trace metal limitation of marine phytoplankton and Interactions between trace metals and planktonic organisms in the marine environment
  • Determine how trace metal fluxes are modified at the ocean margins with an emphasis on sources and sinks at the continental shelves
  • The role that marine particles play in the biogeochemical cycling of trace elements in the ocean
