Dr Richard Pearce is Research Fellow within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

Research interests

Specialisms: Palaeoceanography, Clay Mineralogy, Scanning Electron Microscopy

  1. High resolution palaeoceanography and palaeoclimatology of laminated and finely bedded sediments; 
  2. The mineralogy and paragenesis of clay minerals in unconsolidated sediments and sedimentary rocks, and the use of clay minerals in palaeoclimate studies.
