About
I am a Teaching Fellow in German Language in Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at the University of Southampton, where I have taught since 2014.
I currently teach and coordinate German language modules at different levels, including beginner, intermediate and advanced provision as well as accelerated ab initio German. Alongside my teaching, I contribute to curriculum, materials and assessment development across the German language programme.
I am the Examinations and Assessment Officer for Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. In this role, I coordinate and support assessment and examination processes across the department, including moderation and examination boards, and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental assessment practices.
I supervise undergraduate Research Abroad Projects (RAPs) and postgraduate dissertations, including MA projects in Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching and TESOL. I also work as a Personal Academic Tutor, supporting students throughout their studies and academic development.
Since 2025, I have been a DAAD Ortslektorin, connecting my work at Southampton with the wider network of German language teaching and cultural exchange supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
My wider academic and professional engagement includes membership of a number of professional networks, including the German Language Association (GLA) and the German for Business Network UK, alongside mentoring colleagues involved in language teaching and contributing to departmental initiatives relating to curriculum development, assessment design and inclusive educational practice.
