  • Self-care behaviour in family caregivers of people with an acquired brain injury.
  • Exploring the relationship between executive functioning, rumination, metacognitive beliefs, and mindfulness.
  • A brief Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-based intervention for Functional Neurological Disorders.
  • Experiences of palliative care for family members of people with motor neurone disease.
  • Psychological outcomes from therapy for older adults.

MSc:

  • Pilot study for a new neurocognitive assessment tool for dementia in Down’s Syndrome.
  • Investigating levels of anxiety, depression, fatigue and cognitive dysfunction in subtypes of Ataxia compared to healthy controls.

My research projects include:

  • Psychological Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic with various subprojects (e.g. self-reported attention and memory problems related to mental health during lockdown) 
  • Development of a ‘neuropsychological assessment observation tool’ for developing competences in trainee clinical psychologists.
  • Qualitative study on a young person’s experiences of having a parent with a brain injury.
