Roshana Wickremasinghe is a part-time doctoral research student within the School of Education. Roshana's research explores the influence of multi-academy trusts on policy mediation in schools. Roshana also works full-time at the University in the Widening Participation and Social Mobility Directorate.
Roshana's current research focuses on the influence of multi-academy trusts on teacher perceptions of policy mediation. Her research involves the analysis of multiple texts, including government policy documents, school policy documents and staff interviews to explore the role of multi-academy trusts in the policy delivery process.

Roshana Wickremasinghe is currently a part-time doctoral student at the University of Southampton, exploring policy mediation in schools. Roshana has a background in teaching, having qualified in 2018 through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. Through Teach First, Roshana also obtained a MA in Transformational Leadership, exploring the impact of leadership styles on early career teacher retention. Roshana left the classroom at the end of 2019, moving into higher education. Currently, she works full-time at the University of Southampton in the Widening Participation and Social Mobility directorate, where she leads the Student Inclusion team.
