Dr Leisle Ezekiel is an Occupational Therapist and lecturer at the University of Southampton in the School of Health Sciences. She has extensive experience as an occupational therapist in a wide range of clinical settings, higher education and research. Leisles clinical background is mostly in community settings (predominantly working with people with neurological conditions).
Leisle's research is centred around living well with after brain injury, particularly brain injury fatigue. As an occupational therapist, she is focused on how to use everyday resources and occupations ( such as digital technology or nature and green spaces) to enable people to live well with long term health conditions and how these resources are used within occupational therapy practice. Leisle's research to date includes evidence synthesis, qualiatatve interviews/focus groups and ecological momentary asessment.
As an educator Leisle has expertise in designing and delivering simulation based practice for allied health students. She also has expertise in curriculum design, module design and delivery and has supervised numerous BSc and AHP/nursing MSc research dissertations. She is currently supervising two PhD students.
