About
Josie Baker is a second-year PhD student (2024-2028) based in the School of Geography and Environmental Science. She is an interdisciplinary researcher interested in women’s resilience to extreme heat in the UK. Through analysing the lived experience of resilience to past heatwaves and drawing from diverse forms of literature, she aims to uncover the memories, narratives and stories that exist in relation to past, present and future resilience. Josie is a member of the Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarships Programme for Interdisciplinary Resilience Studies.
