We develop advanced simulation and optimization tools to solve complex, multi-disciplinary challenges. By integrating analytical, computational, and experimental methods, we transform theoretical models into high-performance, real-world solutions.

Part of Engineering

The Computational Engineering and Design (CED) Group serves as a multidisciplinary research hub within the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. We are dedicated to advancing the frontiers of engineering through a sophisticated integration of analytical, computational, and experimental techniques. Our mission is to bridge the gap between fundamental research and industrial application, developing innovative methodologies that enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of complex engineering systems.

Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics Group

Our group undertakes research on fundamental fluid dynamics, applied aerodynamics, flow control, flight dynamics and aeroacoustics.

Astronautics Group

Our published research activities have made a substantial contribution to advancing the field; and hardware developed by members has successfully flown on various space missions, including on the International Space Station.
