Overview
Up to 11 scholarships are available to UK and international students applying to study a full-time, on-campus MBA Master of Business Administration.
Applications are considered in 3 rounds, with scholarships awarded after each round.
The number and value of scholarships available in each round are:
- Round 1: 3 scholarships of £25,000
- Round 2: 5 scholarships of £20,000
- Round 3: 3 scholarships of £17,000

Up to £25,000 reduction in your tuition fee
Deadline
- Round 1: 28 November 2026, 5pm UK time
- Round 2: 1 March 2027, 5pm UK time
- Round 3: 29 May 2027, 5pm UK time
Eligibility
To get this scholarship you must:
- be a permanent resident of an eligible country
- be a self-funded student
- have a conditional or unconditional offer to study Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- exceed your course entry requirements
- successfully complete an interview assessing business excellence
This global talent scholarship is not available to students studying:
- a PGCert, PGDip, Foundation or PGR course
- a Distance Learning course
- with a partner institution
- at our campus in Malaysia or Delhi
- a Study Abroad course
- as an exchange or partner student
- a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course
- only pre-sessional English - pre-sessional English students with an offer to study at postgraduate level can still apply

As part of your scholarship application you will be required to submit a supporting statement of up to 250 words explaining:
- why you have selected your chosen course
- how your chosen course relates to your previous academic or professional experience
- how your chosen course relates to your future academic or professional goals
- how your goals will contribute towards creating a more sustainable and inclusive world
We cannot accept late applications.
How we award
There are 5 stages to the shortlisting process.
- We check that you meet the eligibility criteria, and score and rank your academic qualifications stated on your Postgraduate application form.
- We shortlist candidates from across the world to recognise global talent and support a diverse university community, inclusive of applicants from Least Developed Countries, Low Income or Lower Middle-Income countries.
- We shortlist candidates to recognise academic excellence.
- We score and rank the supporting statement you provide on your application form.
- A panel, chaired by the Dean of University of Southampton Business School, or their nominated representative, will decide on who gets the scholarships.
This is a competitive process, and not all applications will be successful.
The scholarship panel's decision is final. We do not provide feedback on applications or decisions.
If your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation email and award letter. We expect to notify successful applicants on:
- Round 1: 18 December 2026
- Round 2: 19 March 2027
- Round 3: 18 June 2027
If you're awarded more than one University of Southampton scholarship, you'll automatically receive the highest-value award.
