There are 11 scholarships available to international students applying to study MBA Master of Business Administration. Successful applicants could get up to £25,000 towards their tuition fees.

Deadline
- Round 1: 28 November 2026, 5pm UK time
- Round 2: 1 March 2027, 5pm UK time
- Round 3: 18 June 2027, 5pm UK time
Eligibility
To get this scholarship you must:
- be an international student required to pay the oversees fees
- have a conditional or unconditional offer to study Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- exceed your course entry requirements
- successfully complete an interview assessing business excellence
- be self-funded
- be resident of one of the eligible countries for the scholarship programme you are applying for
Check if you will pay the Overseas fee.
This global talent scholarship is not available to students studying:
- on PGCert, PGDip, Foundation or PGR courses
- on Distance Learning courses
- with a partner institution
- at our campus in Malaysia or Delhi
- on Study Abroad courses
- as an exchange or partner student
- on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses
- only pre-sessional English – pre-sessional English students with an offer to study at postgraduate level can still apply

As part of your scholarship application you will be required to submit a supporting statement of up to 250 words explaining:
- why you have selected your chosen course
- how your chosen course relates to your previous academic or professional experience
- how your chosen course relates to your future academic or professional goals
- how your goals will contribute towards creating a more sustainable and inclusive world
We cannot accept late applications. If your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation email with an attached letter.
Please note that if you are successful in being awarded more than one University of Southampton funded scholarship you will automatically receive the award of highest value.
How we award
There are 5 stages to the shortlisting process.
- we check that you meet the eligibility criteria, and score and rank your academic qualifications stated on your Postgraduate application form
- we shortlist candidates from across the world to recognise global talent and support a diverse university community, inclusive of applicants from Least Developed Countries, Low Income or Lower Middle-Income countries
- we shortlist candidates to recognise academic excellence
- we score and rank the supporting statement you provide on your application form
- a panel, chaired by the Dean of University of Southampton Business School, or their nominated representative, will decide on who gets the scholarships
Please note this is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. The decision of the scholarship panel is final.
