The specific research focus within the broad area of spatial audio signal processing will depend on your experience and interests. Your PhD project could focus on these areas:
- microphone array signal processing
- active noise control
- capture and reproduction of immersive audio for virtual reality
Your research will include a mixture of theoretical and numerical studies, followed by practical experimental implementation. You will benefit from the extensive equipment and measurement facilities in the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR).
