About the project

Join our world-leading Signal processing, audio and hearing group research team.

The specific research focus within the broad area of spatial audio signal processing will depend on your experience and interests. Your PhD project could focus on these areas:

  • microphone array signal processing
  • active noise control
  • capture and reproduction of immersive audio for virtual reality

Your research will include a mixture of theoretical and numerical studies, followed by practical experimental implementation. You will benefit from the extensive equipment and measurement facilities in the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR).
