Dr Daria Semochkina is a Research Fellow in Computational Engineering within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

I studied pure mathematics at Lomonosov Moscow State University followed by a PhD in Statistics at the University of Limerick. I am now a Research Fellow in optimisation and uncertainty quantification at the University of Southampton.

Research interests

I am interested in computational methods in Bayesian statistics:

  • MCMC methods
  • Gaussian model emulation based optimisation
  • Disease modelling
  • Uncertainty quantification
