I am a PhD student at the University of Southampton. My work focuses on Music Theory and Analysis of tonal Western Classical music. Although I am also interested in Historical Musicology and broader interdisciplinary aspects of music within the Humanities.

I write music in different tonal styles and I have composed several pieces including a Haydnesque, Sturm und Drang symphony, Alberto Martin, Symphony "Abwesend". I have also orchestrated and arranged in concert version Albéniz’s unpublished opera Lancelot - Overture and Duet.

My doctoral dissertation is about the nineteenth-century Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz, and focuses on the persistence of eighteenth-century conventions in his music and their adaptation to his compositional language. The project is funded by the SWWDTP.

My work on “Isaac Albéniz as a galant composer” received the Theory and Analysis Graduate Student prize of the Society for Music Analysis.
