Teacher Training Open Evenings

Our Teacher Training Open Evening events are designed to give you all the information you need to make informed decisions whatever stage of the process you’re at. 

Whether you're a first or second year student looking ahead, a final year student making plans, or thinking about starting a new career, we’ll run you through how it all works and you can have a one-to-one chat with an experienced university tutor.

The next Open Evening dates are:

  • Thursday 22 October 2026, 5pm to 7pm
  • Tuesday 1 December 2026, 5pm to 7pm
  • Tuesday 22 April 2027, 5pm to 7pm
  • Monday 14 June 2027, 5pm to 7pm (Online Teams link)

All our in-person Open Evenings start at 5pm and are held in Building 34 on Highfield campus. Evening parking is free on campus.

School Experience really helps you decide if teaching is right for you and will strengthen your application.

Spend a morning in a Southampton school: see lessons, meet teachers, and speak to a university tutor.
