Current research
I do not now conduct research but am still actively writing. In 2021 I produced a 108 page “Digest of the published work of Michael Rutter”. This is available at: https://www.acamh.org/blog/a-digest-of-the-published-work-of-michel-rutter-1958-2020-2. I am currently completing a textbook titled “Developmental psychopathology: Concepts., methods and findings.”

Biography
Following appointments at the University of Surrey and the Institute of Child Health, University College London, I was appointed to a professorship at Southampton in 1995. After serving as Associate Dean in the then Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences, I took early retirement in 2008.
