About
I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Academic Centre for International Students, part of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Southampton, where I have had many teaching and management roles to date.
Currently I lead of our suite of English language modules (the English Stages), which run in parity with the Modern Languages Stages. I am part of the Skills for Business team, which runs support classes for international students in the Southampton School of Business and a coordinator on Pre-Sessional 6, as well as working on the joint degree programme with The University of Harbin in China. I also deliver support sessions for international students both within FAH and other faculties.
Previously, I led the Pre-Sessional programmes at Southampton for many years, worked as part of both the International Foundation Year and Pre-Masters programme teams and have been involved with our EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses.
I joined the university in 2008, after twenty years of EFL teaching and management abroad and in the UK. During this time I lived and worked in Istanbul for many years. I have also worked in teacher training within the FE sector, managing the delivery of a range of teacher training qualifications.
