Biography
After +10 years’ experience working in the industry, I did my PhD in Optoelectronics at the University of Southampton, collaborating in the EPSRC project “Novel Multiple Materials Additive Manufacturing Instrument for New Generation of Optical fibre Fabrication”. I received my BS degree in Industrial Engineer from the National Institute Polytechnique (Mexico, 2010). I am part of the SPIE subcommittees for early career professionals and student chapters (2019-2020). Also, I collaborate on IEEE Photonics Society in education projects for Latin America with the STEM initiative "Lightning the Future". In 2018 and 2019 I was named by FORBES as one of the 100 more influential women in Mexico due to my work in STEM outreach and advocacy in diversity and Equity.
