Bea is a postgraduate reseach student based in the department for Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology. She is funded by the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership.
Her doctoral research explores tensions in multi-agency safeguarding processes.
Bea's doctoral research explores tensions in multi-agency children's safeguarding, building on developments within Risk Work theory and research. She conducted a longitudinal qualiative reseach project exploring the factors contributing to tensions in safeguarding processes and the coping mechanisms practitioners use to manage these.
