Current research
Yufeng Xie’s thesis utilises a systematic review of the literature regarding related party transactions from corporate governance, institutional environment and corporate performance perspectives. In the second paper, she focuses on external auditing of opportunistic activities in the form of related party transactions in particular. Specifically, she emphasises how narcissistic personalities of an audit partner helps discourage clients from tunneling and manipulating via transactions with related parties.
