Before joining the University of Southampton in 2021, Alejandra studied an International Master in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies and had graduated from a Double Bachelor Degree in Law and International Relations. She worked in the Center for Security Studies -ETH Zurich- as an Intern Research Assistant in two projects: The Politics of Cybersecurity & Refugees and Cybersecurity. Alejandra was also an Associate Writer in The Security Distillery for two years where she focused on the synergies between intelligence practices, Big Data, and privacy. Due to her internship in the Spanish Commission for Refugees, she gained experience as an immigration and refugee lawyer.
In 2020, Alejandra was Awarded Expert on Global Technopolitics by the CIDOB Future Leaders Forum and Santander-CIDOB 35 under 35 List.
