Thomas Grant is a PhD student in nanophotonics and metamaterials at the Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton.
Thomas is the winner of the 2026 Team ’96 prize. The Team ’96 Prize Fund, which recognises the top-performing final-year PhD student, was awarded to Thomas, for his strong academic performance and his exemplary, collegiate approach to working with and supporting others in the research group.
