Natalia is a postgraduate researcher in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Southampton. Her research focuses on risk management and crisis management, exploring their impact on human rights, with a particular emphasis on migration.
Natalia is a process engineer and holds an MBA from EAFIT University, with a wide professional experience in risk management, insurance, internal control, and emergency response in public and private organisations such as Ecopetrol, Interconexión Eléctrica (ISA), the Bogotá fire department, the Porce III hydroelectric project, and the Attorney General's Office. She also has teaching experience at the EAFIT University, the University of Antioquia, and the National University of Colombia, among others.
She currently holds a scholarship from the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation to conduct doctoral studies at the University of Southampton.
