Current research

Dr Mazed Islam's research focuses on sustainable fashion systems, digital transformation, circular economy, life cycle assessment, resilient supply chains, ESG and sustainability strategy, and responsible production and consumption. His work explores how sustainability and emerging technologies can support the transition towards more circular, resilient, and responsible fashion and textiles. 

Mazed's multidisciplinary research approach offers opportunities to work in an exciting, impactful, and contemporary areas in fashion and textiles. You are welcome to self-propose and discuss an exciting project within the area of research interests. Below are examples of potential research areas.

Dr Mazed's research group is interested to highly motivated, proactive, curious, and skilled individuals who are interested in pursuing PhDs in the  areas mentioned. He is open to dicuss potential hosting and supporting applications for funded PhD studentships, such as, China Scholarship Council, Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), UKRI, and other Government funded schemes.
