External roles and responsibilities
Before joining Southampton Law School, Louise held postdoctoral fellowship positions in South Africa, where she undertook research on global ecological law in the Anthropocene (North-West University) and on climate change mitigation in the insurance industry (University of Cape Town). She holds a PhD in Public Law and an LLM in Environmental Law (with distinction) from the University Cape Town. Louise has also been admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
