Current research
Elizabeth is working on a number of projects related to how to make politics more accessible and equitable. She is currently PI on a 4 year ESRC funded comparative European project with Stefanie Reher - 'Disability and Political Parties.' Her work has been published in a wide range of international peer reviewed journals including most recently in Perspectives on Politics, Political Behavior, Electoral Studies and Policy & Politics. Her 2004 book with Stefanie Reher, Disability and Political Representation (OUP) won the 2026 PSA W.J.M Mackenzie book prize.
