Take the opportunity to keep up to date with the latest in maritime law developments. Learning alongside leading industry professionals and legal practitioners on our established short course in International Maritime Law will provide enduring benefits to both you and your company.

As well as receiving a comprehensive all-round grounding you’ll hear from a range of speakers as members of the Institute of Maritime Law will be joined by speakers from leading maritime law and shipping firms.

You’ll be learning alongside other industry colleagues, giving you the opportunity to build an invaluable international network of contacts who you can call upon for support and guidance for years to come. 

You’ll study the latest legal materials and learn through a variety of methods, including Question-and-Answer sessions, group discussions, seminars and discussing case studies to exchange knowledge and encourage peer-to-peer learning.

By the completion of your course the fusion of academic excellence and practical insight will have given you an in-depth dissection of the legal issues affecting today’s shipping industry and a pragmatic advantage.

Fees

Residential Course fee 2 weeks: £6,795.00 (VAT Exempt)

Early Bird discounted fee for bookings made by Friday 7 June 2024: £5,995.00

10% Multiple booking discount for companies sending 3 or more delegates, discount will apply to each booking.

For cancellations received by 7 June 2024 a refund of monies paid, minus a £400.00 administration fee, will be issued. The full course fees will be payable in respect of cancellations thereafter.

Course fee includes

  • Refreshments and lunch during teaching hours (Monday to Friday)
  • Evening Meal (Monday to Thursday)
  • Accommodation (Monday, checkout Friday each week)
  • Breakfast (Tuesday to Friday)

CPD

You can treat this course as CPD activity under the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the English Bar Standards Board schemes for continuing competence, if you are required to record details of your ongoing professional training. 

Venue

The Maritime Law Short Course will take place at the 5-star Southampton Harbour Hotel, promising a marina view and easy access to the city centre. Teaching and accommodation will be in the same hotel, providing convenience and excellence to our delegates.
