75th Anniversary Global Postgraduate Excellence Scholarships

75th Anniversary Postgraduate Excellence Scholarships are available to new international students from eligible countries applying for an eligible in-person postgraduate taught programme.  

Southampton Business School programmes are excluded, as the Business School offers its own scholarships. 

These scholarships mark 75 years since the University of Southampton was granted its Royal Charter. They celebrate our history and offer a warm welcome to international students.

To get this scholarship you must:

• be a permanent resident of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, UAE, USA or Vietnam
• be a self-funded student paying the oversees tuition fees
• have a conditional or unconditional offer to study any full-time, on-campus 1-year postgraduate taught programme
• pay your tuition fee deposit by Saturday 31 July 2027

Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis, based on the date that you submit your programme application to the University of Southampton. 

The first 300 postgraduate applicants who meet the eligibility conditions, including payment of their tuition fee deposit by Saturday 31 July 2027, will be awarded the scholarship. 

Permanent residency

We consider your permanent residency to be where you have lived for 3 or more years before the start of the course.

This does not include where you have been living solely for study purposes if it is different from your permanent place of residency.

We will automatically award this scholarship if you are eligible and let you know by email.
