The scholarships are offered by The Parkes Institute for the Study of Relations between Jews and non-Jews. They are available to both UK and international students to reduce tuition fees.
Deadline to apply: Tuesday 9 September 2026, midday UK time.
The quality of your application and the relevance of your research project to the broad remit of the Institute (Jewish/non-Jewish relations; use of Special Collections) will be the major consideration when assessing applications.
Financial need will be considered but will not be a major determining factor in our decision-making. If you want your financial circumstances to be considered, you should provide supporting documentation, such as evidence of incomings and outgoings when you apply.
How we award scholarships
There are 3 stages to the shortlisting process:
we check that you meet the eligibility criteria
we review your Postgraduate application and scholarship application
a selection panel, chaired by the Director of the Parkes Institute, will decide on who gets the scholarships
The decision of the scholarship panel is final.
