Research interests
I have a keen interest in neurodegenerative diseases and how we can possibly look to stop their progression. My interests lie specifically within Alzheimer’s and how Tau/Amyloid contribute towards the progression of diseases as well as how the ageing brain changes over time.
My PhD will be focusing on the later, investigating how neurons change over a life cycle and how this may contribute towards diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
I previously investigated the spread of Tau throughout anatomically linked circuits during my Masters thesis.
Research project: How do neurons age? Does this contribute to age-related decline in behaviour?
