Nick Wright is an Associate Professor of Pure Mathematics at the University of Southampton and is Undergraduate Admissions Tutor for Mathematical Sciences.
- Coarse geometry
- Non-commutative geometry
- The Baum-Connes conjecture
- Geometric group theory
Nick has been involved in several research projects, including Metric geometry and analysis, Cosmology and Yu's Property A, Amenability, Coarse geometry of non-positively curved spaces and K-theory and cyclic homology of affine Weyl groups.
Current PhD Students
Nick is currently teaching the 3rd year Hilbert Spaces module and the 4th year Harmonic Analysis module. Both of these modules involve extending ideas from algebra to the infinite-dimensional world.
Nick has previously taught Calculus and Analysis.
