Jakub Bijak is Professor of Statistical Demography at the University of Southampton, with over 20 years’ work experience in academia and international civil service. He holds PhD in economics (with specialisation in demography) obtained from the Warsaw School of Economics. His main research interests include statistical demography, migration, demographic uncertainty, population and migration models and forecasts, the demography of armed conflict, and occasionally paleodemography.
