Erika is a senior consultant engineer in ISVR Consulting, the enterprise unit of the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton. She specialises in numerical modelling in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and acoustics (Finite Elements FEM and Boundary Elements BEM), especially on High Performance Computing (HPC), in conjunction with analytical modelling and analysis of experimental data.
She has worked on international research projects in collaboration with the RR-UTC for turbomachinery noise at ISVR, as well as a wide range of consultancy projects.
Previously, after a MSc in Aeronautical Engineering in Italy and working in different fields as aeronautical engineer, she has completed a MSc in Boston (USA) and a PhD in Cranfield (UK). She was then employed in the Computational Engineering and Design group at the UoS as a research assistant on developing civil UAV.
