Dr Ruben Sanchez Garcia is an Associate Professor within Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
- Network modelling and analysis
- Applied Topology
Ruben has a pure mathematics background in algebraic topology, although he currently works in the interface between pure and applied mathematics, particularly in network modelling and analysis, and applied topology.
Current PhD Students
Ruben has taught on a number of modules, including:
MATH1007 - Mathematical Methods for Physical Scientists
MATH1004 Mathematics for Chemists and Oceanographers
MATH6140 Structure and Dynamics on Networks
MATH6078 Galois Theory
Ruben did an undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the Universidad de Málaga (Spain), then a PhD at the University of Southampton (UK). He held postdoctoral positions at the University of Sheffield (UK) and Düsseldorf (Germany).
