Jason’s research lies at the intersection of corporate finance, international finance, and financial technologies (FinTech). His work examines how governance structures, emerging technologies, and cross-border financial dynamics shape firm behaviour, market efficiency, and sustainable economic development. In particular, he is interested in topics such as corporate governance, employment decisions, social capital, and sustainability, with recent projects exploring the role of AI and digital innovation in financial reporting and disclosure practices.
His research has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance and other internationally recognised journals in finance and accounting, reflecting his contributions to advancing knowledge in these fields. Beyond publishing, Jason actively engages with the academic and policy communities, serving as an ad-hoc referee for the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China and several leading journals ranked ABS 3 and ABS 4.
I am currently supervising PhD students in the areas of corporate finance, FinTech, and financial reporting. I welcome prospective PhD candidates with interests aligned to my research areas.
