Jason’s research lies at the intersection of corporate finance, corporate governance, and financial technologies (FinTech). His work investigates how governance mechanisms, technological innovations, and cross-border financial dynamics influence firm behaviour, market efficiency, and sustainable economic development. In particular, his research focuses on corporate governance, employment decisions, social capital, and sustainability, with recent projects examining how AI and digital innovation reshape financial reporting, disclosure practices, and risk management.

His research has been published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Corporate Finance, British Accounting Review, European Journal of Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Economics Letters, among others. These publications reflect his contributions to advancing knowledge on how governance and technology interact to shape corporate strategies and global financial markets.

Beyond his publications, Jason actively contributes to the academic and policy communities. He serves as an ad-hoc referee for the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China and several prestigious journals ranked ABS 3* and ABS 4, including the British Journal of Management (BJM). Through his peer-review activities, he supports the dissemination of rigorous and impactful research in finance, accounting, and management.
