Charlotte completed a BSc in Psychology at University of Southampton in 2014. She then completed a volunteer placement in Sri Lanka working in mental health and teaching sectors. Following this, she worked as a teaching assistant in two primary schools in Kent and Medway working primarily with SEN. In 2018 she completed a Masters in Cognitive Psychology/Neuropsychology at University of Kent with a project about individual differences in facial recogntition, before moving back to Southampton to begin a PhD in Psychology at University of Southampton. Charlotte's PhD investigated individual differences in skilled readers' eye movements. During her PhD, Charlotte undertook a variety of teaching roles including lecturing facilitating seminars and workshops, and marking assignments. Alongside her PhD studies, Charlotte worked as a Research Assistant on a variety of projects in psychology, and completed an internship with the Behavioural Insight Team at Hampshire County Council. Charlotte is now a Research Fellow working with Dean Tamar Pincus on a project about interpersonal relationships and chronic pain.
